Palmyra

November 13, Monday
Yesterday we were in Hama. Today we are in Damascus. Hama is gone. Damascus is here. Goodbye Hama. Damascus is here. Goodbye Hama, says Dick. Hello Damascus, says Jane. Dick and Jane go run with Spot. See Spot run. Run, Spot, run!
Jonas takes over journal writing.
Yesterday we (meaning Jonas and co., not Dick and Jane) went to Palmyra and saw a bunch of ruins and this tomb which was a bunch of square rooms filled with shelves of coffins at the walls stacked one on top of another to form this tower, the top of which had fallen off. There was a good view from the top, six stories or sixty feet up which ever one comes last.
There was also a neat theatre with a hugely restored outside wall. The facade was still in the back and everything so it looked really neat.
We also went to a castle that had lots of it remaining. The only thing that could have made this trip better would be to do it with Daniel and jordan.
