We are now in Goreme looking at fairy chimneys, interesting rock formations.
On the bus ride to Goreme we were stopped 3 hours out of Antalya because the bus went "kaput" as our fellow passenger put it. So our bus ride was 13 hours instead of 10. For lunch the day we go to Goreme we had pide (Turkish pizza, made long rather than round). It tastes really, REALLY good. The bread tastes freash and the soup is good too.
We went to the open air museum today. It was churches and houses cut into the rock. In one of the churches the frescoes were very bright. I think that they were just as bright as they were when the church was used. There were tables and stone benches in the houses that Matthew and I called ancient bowling allies at first. One of the churches was full at first and there was a long line to get inside so we skipped it then and went back to it later. Then we took a bit of a hike through Sword's Valley. We split up with Papa part was through and we went along a dried up river bed. We climbed down a wall and walked some more and saw a church in one of the chimneys. We checked it out and could see the pictures of six saints very faintly. We could also see a picture of Jesus, Mary and what may have been John the Baptist on the ceiling. Then we kept on walking, saw a neat beetle and got to a road. We walked along the road to the main highway and saw Papa coming along behind us so we stopped to wait for him. Then Papa and I went to the International UFO Museum and had a good laugh. There was "evidence" of UFO sightings since the dawn of humankind.

Evidence...
Pictures of aliens teaching humans how to make fire,

and articles about ancient civilizations and their extraordinary knowledge about things discovered last century. then we had more pide and then we came back to the hotel.
